We're searching for a summer intern to create a Green Homes tour for the fall, in conjunction with Cambridge Energy Alliance. You'd interview the homeowners/tenants, take photos, create a podcast and a website (with help).
It's a great resume builder, and a fantastic way to learn about different green retrofit techniques from the cheap to the expensive. It would take probably 3 weeks of work and has to be finished by mid September. Interested? Email <heet [dot] cambridge [at] gmail [dot] com>. Thanks.
Win a Free Green Audit & Energy Efficiency Work
Get free light bulbs, programmable thermostats and low-flow water measures installed in your house/apartment, as well as advice about further work and rebates that can save more energy. The installed devices are worth over $120 per home and can save you over $2,000 over the next decade in energy and water bills.
First 100 Cambridge homes to apply, win the free audit and measures. Offer only good until the end of the summer and while we have enough materials. The audits are performed by high-school students (under adult supervision), helping them learn valuable green jobs skills.
The program is made possible through grants from Constellation Energy Ecostar and the Cambridge Agassiz Harvard Fund and through support by the Cambridge Energy Alliance.
HEET and Cambridge Community Center are running the program.
