Hello Audrey,

I was not able to stay long on Saturday, but I know that Trudy conveyed to you my appreciation and that of our Board of Directors for your weatherization work at our Family Shelter. We look forward to keeping more of the heat inside this winter and saving money in the process. You and the volunteers do great work and we are pleased to have been one of your weatherization sites. Information about the day will be posted on our website within a few days.

HERS is tracking the electricity use of the units that signed up for the "carbon cutters competition" that day and will have quantifiable results in a few months. But we already feel there was success just in building this partnership with HEET and getting the word out to our residents that their actions have an effect on our shared climate. Thanks again, and we hope to do more like this in the future.

Hi everyone,

It is over a week now since you all helped weatherize my house, and I am only now getting around to thanking you. Despite my tardiness, I am really grateful to you all for all the time and effort you put into making my house much tighter and all the very good ideas you gave me for things I can do in the future to improve things even more. Yes, I will make a second hatch door and put weatherstripping around where each is seated. And I will put glass in the panel above the front door and weatherize the storm door. And I have already called the exterminator about the carpenter ants (not exactly weatherization but important).

So thank you all individually and collectively. I hope to meet you again when I work on future projects in other houses.

A heartfelt thank you to the HEET leadership and volunteers. The coordination of such en effort is really impressive and we learned a great deal about our house. An especial thank you to all the knowledgeable team leaders who gave up a free day to volunteer to teach others skills and make our house more effecient.
